TORONTO, ON, October 15, 2012 – OPTIMUS | SBR, a Toronto-based management consulting firm announced today the closing of an agreement to purchase the assets of RWS Advisory. The purchase is a key investment as OPTIMUS | SBR looks to strengthen its position as a leader in the healthcare and not-for-profit sectors. RWS Advisory specializes in strategic and operational consulting to public, non-profit and private healthcare and life sciences organizations.
RWS Advisory’s strong presence and brand recognition in the healthcare sector, coupled with a highly-skilled and competent team were driving factors in the decision to purchase the organization. “RWS Advisory’s relationship with their clients and ability to successfully bridge the gap between business and clinical process made the organization attractive to us. It sets the stage to enhance our current practice and to tap into new segments” says John Whincup, Executive Director at OPTIMUS | SBR.
Fiona McDougall, CEO at RWS Advisory shares “We were looking for a way to improve our delivery methods and processes. OPTIMUS | SBR has the experience and a broader group of strategy and leadership development, process and implementation planning, and project management consultants that will allow for the team to flourish and provide even better service to our clients.” Following the acquisition, Ms. McDougall becomes the new leader of the Healthcare and Not-for-Profit Group at OPTIMUS | SBR.
“It has been our goal to provide unrivaled service to our clients since the beginning” states Kevin Gauci, Managing Director at OPTIMUS | SBR. “The acquisition of RWS Advisory was a logical choice for us to continue to meet this commitment and we are confident that this move will propel our healthcare and not-for-profit practice to the next level.”
The acquisition of RWS advisory follows the merger of the former OPTIMUS Consulting Group, SBR Global, and Kemerer Group Inc. which joined forces in November 2010. With an already proven track record of success in the healthcare and not-for-profit sectors, the addition of RWS Advisory means OPTIMUS | SBR is well positioned to establish itself as the top-of-mind trusted advisory firm that gets the job done.
