This edition of our popular Navigating the Business Environment workshop has been customized for the unique needs of Gen Z employees.
Organizations today are facing a unique workforce challenge. As the work environment becomes more diverse, with multiple generational mindsets, early in career talent must understand how to navigate the business environment so they can successfully collaborate and communicate with Traditionalist, Baby Boomer, Gen X and Millennial colleagues and leaders.
Each generational identity translates into different values, expectations, and behaviours at work, which can lead to misunderstanding and confusion. The youngest generation (Gen Zs) often does not have a frame of reference as to the values, expectations and behaviours that are the foundation of an organization’s culture.
It is important for interns and new graduates to understand the expectations the organization has of them, and the impact workplace culture has on creating an engaging work environment for all. This understanding increases their ability to succeed within your environment and work effectively both with their leaders, colleagues and clients.
This highly interactive virtual workshop educates Gen Zs and/or Millennials about the values, expectations and behaviours of the other three generations (Traditionalists, Baby Boomers and Gen Xers). Young employees explore how their views and perspectives may differ from those of their colleagues and managers.
We discuss the differences between intent and impact and what behaviours may be negatively perceived by senior leaders and why. We then explore how to be an active participant in creating an engaging organizational culture and how to take a collaborative approach with colleagues and leaders.
We also explore how to demonstrate appropriate behaviours with clients to ensure relationships are positive, productive and profitable. We evaluate the best communication methods and highlight how to engage all generations through effective communication techniques.
Each participant leaves the program with career development tips that will set them up for success as they launch their careers.
